WHAT IS PRECISION AGRICULTURE?
It is a set of solutions and technologies that allows farmers to have recognition of their entire area for cultivation and helps with the yield, productivity and profitability of their land.
This is the main definition of the term precision agriculture (PA).
An example of this efficiency that we have always provided to the market was the automation of the first sugarcane planter in Brazil (model PCP-6000) implemented by the 3 founders of OMD do Brasil, which revolutionized the cultivation of the sugarcane crop.
Today, some of the many benefits of this machine include the reduction of inputs used in sugarcane farming.
Before automation, the manual planter used an average of 22 tons of inputs per hectare. After the improvement, there was a 40% savings, requiring between 11 and 14 tons of inputs for the same area.
